PRESS: Goods sales via bloggers, opinion leaders reach 60 bln rbl

MOSCOW, Jul 23 (PRIME) -- Sales of goods in Russia via bloggers and opinion leaders amounted to 60 billion rubles in January–June with the growth champion being messenger Telegram, which the country tries to block, business daily Kommersant reported on Tuesday, citing analysts of Admitad, a unified marketing platform for advertisers and publishers.

An Admitad spokesperson said the estimate included all channels of content marketing, which are social networks, blogs, messengers, forums, and YouTube.

Sales via messengers rose the most under the cost-per-click model, and Telegram generated more than 90%. People often sell electronics and household appliances via messengers. Sales via messengers in Admitad’s partner network spiked 57% on the year to 520 million rubles.

Telegram’s audience counted more than 12 million Russians in April, while Viber had 21.7 million and WhatApp 33.5 million, according to Mediascope.

Sales via social networks grew slower, by 21%, and their total volume in Admitad is seen at 539 million rubles. More than a half of sales was done in VKontakte.

Sales via YouTube rose 13% and were at 443 million rubles in Admitad. Stores with goods from China led.
